PURPOSE:To provide the titled polymer complex useful as an electronics material, which can be produced in a simple process, having specific porphyrin nucleus residue. CONSTITUTION:The objective polycarbonate polymer complex constituted of recurring units, respectively, of formula I (Ar is of formula II, III, IV, etc./ m>=1) and formula V (P is of formula VI, VII, etc.; M is metal atom. such as Cu, Ag, As or Pr; R<1>-R<4> are each H, halogen, 1-6C alkyl, phenyl, 1-6C alkoxy, etc.; n is >=1). This polymer complex can be obtained by reaction between a dihydric phenol of formula HO-Ar-OH, a porphyrin derivative of formula VIII and a carbonic ester-forming compound.
