PURPOSE:To increase the quantity of the antibodies to be adsorbed to a solid phase and to improve the measuring range of antigens, the detection threshold and the reproducibility in a low concn. range by adsorbing F(ab')2 to the surface of the solid phase. CONSTITUTION:F(ab')2 is used for the antibody of the solid phase antibody consisting of the solid phase and the antibody adsorbed and insolubilized on the surface of the solid phase. The antibody F(ab')2 is the decomposition product having an antigen-conjugated part among the decomposition products formed by decomposition of IgG with proteinase and is obtd. by removing the decomposition product (FC) having no antigen-conjugated part from the decomposition product formed by decomposition with the proteinase by pepsin. Goat-derived anti-AFP-F(ab')2, goat-derived anti-CEA-F(ab')2, goat-derived anti-ferritin-F(ab')2 or guinea pig-derived anti-hCG-F(ab')2 is used as the anti-F(ab')2.
