<p>PURPOSE:To improve the resolution of a color difference signal and a horizontal high frequency luminance signal and moving image resolution by specifying the base band width of the color difference signal and multiplexing the horizontal high frequency luminance signal to a television signal in frequency in a lower frequency side than the frequency band of the color difference signal. CONSTITUTION:The horizontal high frequency luminance signal is low frequency transformed by a pulse form carrier having the frequency twice as long as the sub- carrier frequency of the color difference signal multiplexed to a luminance signal and a phase inverted at every scanning line and at every frame, multiplexed to the luminance signal and the base band width of the color difference signal is a difference between the maximum frequency of the multiplexed luminance signal and the sub- carrier frequency of the color difference signal or below. Thereby, the vertical frequency band of the horizontal high frequency luminance signal YH and the color difference signal C and the horizontal frequency band thereof are not mutually overlapped, so that the vertical frequency band of the color difference signal C and the horizontal high frequency luminance signal YH can be completely widened, the vertical resolution thereof can be enhanced and the moving image resolution can be improved.</p> |
