<p>PURPOSE:To enable detection of a voltage stably, by using an intensity difference between a first reference light extracted and reflected from a light beam of a light source and a second reference light obtained by extracting and reflecting an output light only having a specified polarized component from an output light of an electrooptic material. CONSTITUTION:A light beam BM is divided with a polarized beam splitter 1 and incident light IM is made incident into an electrooptical material 4. Emission light only with a specified polarization component is extracted and divided with a deflection beam splitter 5 from the emission light OUT reflected on the material 4. One part thereof is made incident on a streak camera 7 as signal light SG, and the other part of thee emission light with a polarized component orthogonal to the signal light SG is applied to a differential amplifier 10 as second reference signal REF2. A first reference signal REF1 is applied to the amplifier 10 through a delay means 6 to determine a difference between both the reference signals, which is supplied to a camera 7 as electrical trigger signal TR. This permits application of the signal TR to the camera 7 only when a voltage at a specified part of an object to be measured is given to the material 4, thereby enabling detection of changes in the intensity of the signal light SG stably.</p> |
