PURPOSE:To protect an operator and to prevent the occurrence of miscopying by inhibiting image scanning at the time of opening an original cover and inhibiting opening of the original cover at the time of starting image subscanning. CONSTITUTION:When an original retaining cover 20 is opened, a lever 21 rushes into the opening of a device main body 30 to turn on a switch SW 1. Simultaneously, the original retaining cover 20 is prevented from being moved together with an original platen glass 1. When the original retaining cover 20 is closed, the lever 21 is projected upward from the opening 31 to turn off the switch SW 1, and the original retaining cover 20 can be moved in the subscanning direction together with the original platen glass 1. Though the operator tries to open the cover 20 on the way of subscanning, the lever 21 is brought into contact with the upper face of the device main body 30 and the original retaining cover is locked and is prevented from being opened. |
