PURPOSE:To obtain the video signal of high level in respective fields immediately from a solid-state image pickup element by providing a feed back mechanism provided with a delay circuit for delaying a signal charge read from a picture element by a prescribed time and supplying to a reset voltage terminal. CONSTITUTION:The output signal voltage of a preamplifier 4 is applied to the reset voltage terminal 15 via an inversion amplifier 6 and the delay circuit 5 of the prescribed time Td. A time interval from the reading of the signal to the reset is the prescribed time Td and the read signal is delayed by the same time Td and impressed to the reset voltage terminal 15, so that at the time of defining the time Td to be integer times as large as a horizontal scanning period TH, the picture element to which the change is injected through the reset terminal 15 from the delay circuit 5 according to this reset is equal to the picture element and the charge injected to the picture element is equal to the signal charge read from the picture element immediately before or proportional thereto. Namely, the signal charge read once is rewritten in the same picture element. Thereby, the video signal of the high level can be obtained to the sequential fields.
