The external automotive door handle comprises a hinging control (7) working in a recessed portion and mounted on a holder (6) on the inside of the door. This extends through an opening in the recessed portion. The latter and the holder have clamping faces (24,25) facing towards each other, pressed together by a clamping slide. In the installed position the control can be flush with the outer edge of the recessed portion.
