PURPOSE:To operate a clutch speedily and adequately by providing a shut-off valve, which is closed simultaneously with starting supply of compressed air to a power cylinder portion and also opened simultaneously with completing discharge of the compressed air, in a passage connected to a liquid sealing chamber and an oil reservoir. CONSTITUTION:When a control valve 30 is placed in air supply mode, compressed air in an air reservoir 31 is led to a pressure chamber 27 through a passage 29 a transfer pressure chamber 46 a passage 28 in this order. A power piston 26 is driven by this lead in the direction of an arrow (a) against a return spring 42. Meantime, when compressed air is led in the transfer pressure chamber 46, this pressure makes a control piston 45 shift downward to shut a valve seat 54 with a valve 51 so that the connection between the liquid sealing chamber 39 and the oil reservoir 23 is cut off. Accordingly, simultaneously with the forward movement of the power piston 26, the forward movement of the second transfer piston 35 starts in the same direction and if it makes a stroke by a predetermined distance, the clutch is disengaged.
