In an adjustable closed potentiometer both metallic terminals are in connection with contact layers (3c) of a resistance ring (3) via a fork (1c). This connection is additionally improved by pressure caused by a housing with projections (2c) filled with an electrically conductive filler (4) having the same chemical structure as the contact layer (3c) of either terminal (1) of the resistance ring (3). The housing with its shoulders exerts pressure on the surface of the ring (3) to prevent mechanical vibration of the latter. A rotor of the potentiometer is adjustable from either side for automatic setting of its resistance value and this increases its insensitivity to mechanical or chemical influences of the environment and improves its durability. <IMAGE>
