The invention relates to optical glasses which have glass properties optimised for the production of microoptical structures. The object of the invention is to produce hydrolysis- and acid-stabilised glasses which allow the formation of extended transparent regions of increased refractive index (X10% >/= 200 mu m; DELTA n >/= 0.05) through Na/Ag ion exchange. The object is achieved according to the invention in that the glasses are composed of from 11.4 to 30.0 mol% of Na2O, from 8.7 to 26.4 mol% of MgO from 50.0 to 70.8 mol% of SiO2. he
