Device for machining wood and wood-based materials

The device is used for the continuous synchronous adjustment of milling tools at standstill. It consists of two displaceable tool halves, a displacement bush, an actuator fitted in one tool half, and a displacement device which is composed of a fixed member attached to the displacement bush and a power-transmitting element which effects the movement of the tool halves in opposite directions to one another. Pressure elements between the tool halves are used to reverse the direction of movement. The displacement device is situated inside the tool. The tool is uncomplicated in design and can be supplemented to form a device which is displaceable in operation.
