PURPOSE:To obtain a water-soluble granule capable of settling in water until it is completely dissolved even in charging into water, by blending water-soluble salts having solubility in water and specific gravity within specific ranges with a specific amount or more of potassium sulfate and wet granulating the resultant blend. CONSTITUTION:Water-soluble salts having >=15g/100ml solubility in water at ordinary temperature and >=1.4-<=2.3, preferably >=1.6-<=2.3 specific gravity (e.g. ammonium sulfate, ammonium nitrate or potassium chloride) are blended with potassium sulfate in an amount of >=2wt.%, preferably 20-90wt.% based on the above-mentioned salts and the resultant blend is wet granulated to afford the aimed water-soluble granule. Furthermore, a binder, such as sodium alginate or methyl cellulose, is preferably used in granulation. The aforementioned granule has a somewhat lower dissolution rate than that of granules free-floating on the water surface and will neither run off even by a small amount of precipitation when used as a base for agricultural chemicals, etc., nor unevenly distribute with wind and waves or water streams even in spraying on paddy field.
