When membrane filtrating milk in connection with the milking the milk after the milking is transported to a container, a so-called end unit (1). From this the milk is led by way of a balance tank (6) to a circulation path, in which the membrane filter (10) is a part. After the milking permeate obtained during the membrane filtration is returned to the end unit (1) and is used to press milk from the same and from equipment between this container (1) and the circulation path.
