PURPOSE:To prevent offset in a heat roll fixing system by using a specified modified vinyl polymer as a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic developer composition is essentially composed of a colorant and the binder resin comprising as a main component the modified vinyl polymer obtained by allowing (A) a vinyl polymer having a carboxyl group on one of the terminals to react with (B) a multifunctional epoxy resin having >=3 functional groups, and as said resin (A), a polymer obtained by polymerizing a styrene type monomer and/or a methacrylic monomer or the like in the presence of a chain transfer agent, such as thioglycolic acid can be used, and as the resin (B), a novolak phenol type epoxy resin, glycidylamine type multifunctional epoxy resin, or the like can be used. |
