PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity of a cyan image forming layer and the preservation of the titled material under high temp. and humidity by incorporating a specified ureidophenol type cyan coupler with a prescribed amount of a colored cyan coupler in the titled material. CONSTITUTION:The ureidophenol type cyan coupler shown by formula I is incorporated in the photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer of a color photosensitive material, and the colored cyan coupler (such as a compd. shown by formula II) is incorporated in an emulsion layer in an amount of >=30mol.% based on the total cyan coupler. In the formulas, S is hydrogen atom. or a group capable of releasing by allowing to a coupling reaction with the oxidant of an aromatic primary amine color developing main agent, R1 is aryl or a heterocyclic ring group, R2 is an aliphatic or aryl group, COUP is a cyan coupler residual group, * is the coupling position of a coupler, J is a divalent coupling group, R5 is aryl group, (m) is 0 or 1. Thus, the cyan image forming layer which has the excellent sensitivity and shelf stability, and does not occur the reduction discoloration in the processing step of the titled materials, is obtd. |
