PURPOSE:To minute the dispersed particle of an oil-soluble photographic useful substance, and to stabilize the obtd. particle, by incorporating a specified surface active agent in the titled material. CONSTITUTION:The titled material comprises one or more of photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers, and the photographic useful substance (such as a coupler) used for the titled material is dispersed in a hydrophilic colloidal composition in the presence of a compd. shown by formula I wherein R1 is 8-30C alkyl or aryl group, R2 is 1-4C alkyl group, (n) is 1-11. The compd. shown by the formula (for example, the compd. shown by formula II) may be used in combination with an anionic surface active agent which has a 8-30C hydrophobic group together with a group shown by -SO3M, etc. The oil soluble useful substance is minutely and stably dispersed in the titled material by incorporating the compd. shown by the formula in the titled material. |
