PURPOSE:To shorten the processing time and to continuously output the output by converting an input or feedback signal to an optical image and multiplexing/ expanding and forming the image on the photoelectric surface of a space optical modulating tube and performing the data processing by optical operation. CONSTITUTION:First, a shutter S1 is opened to lead an input U to a multiplexing image forming system 412 and it is written in a space optical modulating tube (T) 401. Next, shutters S1-S4 are opened and closed in a prescribed order to perform operations through a mirror 421 and Ts 401, 402, and 403 by a monochromatic light. The real-time threshold operation is performed through a reverse multiplexing image forming system 413 and the output is fed back, and this operation is performed with respect to each input pattern till convergence, thereby completing inscription. In case of remembrance, operations are performed by an approximately similar method, Thus, the data processing time is shortened and the output is continuously outputted.
