A wind power engine has a rotor (1) which rotates about a vertical axis and is subdivided into three equal-sized sectors by three rotor blades (A, B, C) arranged essentially radially. In order to improve the properties and efficiency of this wind power engine, the rotor blades (A, B, C) are subdivided vertically into several sub-blades (3, 4, 5) and vertical gaps (6) for the passage of air are arranged between the sub-blades (3, 4, 5). These sub-blades (3, 4, 5) have a cup or trough-shaped cross-section, and the end regions of the sub-blades are bent or curved at approximately 30 DEG to the direction of rotation of the rotor. |
