The device for preventing mechanical overloads, which is coupled to a single-arm pantograph, brings about the triggering of the normal lowering process for the pantograph in the event of a fault, i.e. when inadmissibly large horizontal forces occur on the horned slipper holder (7). This occurs according to the invention by evacuating the air from a control line (28) for a precontrol valve (32) connected to the feeder line (33) to the lowering cylinder (14), which control line is acted fed with pressure from the main air connection (36) via of a throttle valve (34). The end (27) of this control line (28), on the pantograph side, is provided with an openable closing element (26) which is in a mechanical operative connection which brings about or maintains its closed state with a swivel lever (22) which is held in a position of rest in a known manner by means of a fracture bolt (25) and on which the lower joint of the coupling rod (4) is arranged. <IMAGE> |
