PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a thermosensitive transfer recorder without necessity of a motor only for a cooling fan in a rotary power transmission system to a platen roller by providing a neutral position where the roller is rotatable, and so composing as to transmit power to thermal head cooling means. CONSTITUTION:A cam gear 16 and an arm 18 are rotated through a worm wheel 15 by rotating a motor 12 to slide a slider 19. A switching arm 22 is rotated counterclockwise to rotate an arm 24 by the arm 23a of a spring 23. In this state, the pinion 9b of a switching gear 9 is engaged with the large gear 11b of a drum gear 11 to transmit rotary power of a motor 6 to a platen roller 1. When the motor 12 is rotated to move the gear 9, the gear 9 is not engaged with both the gear 11b and the pinion 11b so that the roller 1 becomes rotatable. The motor 6 is rotated in this state to rotate a fan 42 at a high speed without rotating the roller 1. |
