PURPOSE:To improve a folding accuracy by placing both the machine barrel of a lateral machine device and the folding barrel of a paper folding part on the same side with respect to a conveyed web in a folding machine while placing the receiving barrel of the lateral machine device and the holding barrel of the paper folding part on the same side with respect to the conveyed web. CONSTITUTION:After printing, a web 3 is fed into a folding machine 4 and subjected to a slitter machining, etc., and, then, passes through a lateral machine device 5, where a perforation is given to the predetermined place of a folding line by means of the machine tool 11 of a machine barrel 6 and the machine tool receiver 16 of a machine barrel 7. After that, the web is cut off by means of a cutting barrel 19 and folded in half between an inserting knife 27 of a folding barrel 20 and the holding plate 31 of a holding barrel 21 and discharged. In this case, both the machine tool 11 and the inserting knife 27 are placed on the same side with respect to the conveyed web 3, the inserting knife 27 is pressed against the side on which burr is not formed on the perforation, and the side on which the burr of the perforation is generated comes to the ridge side of the folding. Thereby, a very favorable folding which is easy to fold can be obtained improving a folding accuracy leading to improvement in the quantity of printed matter. |
