PURPOSE:To aim at improvement in charging efficiency by installing a second surge tank in the inner part of a midway part where a suction passage is bent, and installing a shutter valve in a connecting passage between the second surge tank and the suction passage. CONSTITUTION:A first surge tank 26 in common is installed at upstream end of each suction passage 22, and a second surge tank 38 is installed in the inner part of a midway part where the suction passage is bent. A shutter valve 50 is installed in a secondary passage 48 connecting the second surge tank 38 to the suction passage 22. There is provided with a connecting passage 42 which interconnects a bottom part of the first surge tank 26 to the more just above upstream side than the shutter valve 50 in the secondary passage 48. At time of low speed, the shutter valve 50 is closed, and the first surge tank is made to work as a pressure reflecting chamber. At time of high speed, the shutter valve 50 is opened, and an opening area of the suction passage is increased. With this constitution, suction charging efficiency is improvable. |
