WRAPPING METHOD AND APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To prevent the impairment of merchandise by receiving the merchandise discharged from above a cylinder on a circulating holder and subsequently discharging the same by the holder. CONSTITUTION:A bagging material 7'' which is formed by a former 8 of a film sheet 7 fed from a sheet roll is moved downwardly by a driving means 10 so as to effect the vertical sealing of the overlapped edges thereof by a vertical sealing means 12 and at the same time the lateral sealing thereof at a predetermined interval by a lateral sealing means 13. During this time, a holder 25 rotates in a laterally projecting position in the upper portion of a cylinder. Merchandise 5 are discharged through an opened damper of a chute 14 and dropped onto the holder 25 in a lateral direction via a chute 13 and the holder moves downwardly with the merchandise received thereon and discharges the same by its rotary movement at the lower end. This eliminates the occurrence of the impairment of the continuously discharged merchandise due to the impact load exerted thereon during dropping, resulting in the improvement of the yield rate of merchandise.
