PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain superconducting ceramics having high critical temperature, etc., and useful in electronic equipments, etc., by calcining a specific compound at high temperature and then adding a copper component-containing compound thereto and recalcining the mixture at a temperature causing no melting and flowing of the copper component. CONSTITUTION:(A) A compound containing an alkaline earth metal (e.g. Ca) component and (B) a compound containing a rate earth element (e.g. La) component are added to an alcohol solution etc., of oxalic acid to precipitate oxalate of the component (A) and (B) and then oxalic acid salt mixture of component (A) and (B) obtained by filtering the precipitate is calcined at <=1,000 deg.C for 1-10hr to afford an oxide. Then a compound containing a copper component such as CuO is added and mixture to the oxide and mixture is recalcined at 900-1,000 deg.C for 1-10hr. The recalcined product is ground, molded and sintered to synthesize the superconducting ceramics containing phase having oxygen- deficient provskite-type structure expressed by the formula (R is component B or mixture thereof) as a main component. |
