PURPOSE:To obtain automobile wheels with excellent runout accuracy by heating a metal rim with the induced current generated by energizing a generating device and uniformly and exactly heating the rim as a whole to the defined temperature so that a disc can be tightly fixed to the rim. CONSTITUTION:A generating device 1 is arranged so that a coil 6 formed by winding an insulating electric wire on an iron core 3 is positioned around the axial center of a metal rim 7. The induced current generated by energizing the generating device 1 uniformly heats the rim 7 as a whole to the defined temperature. After fitting a metal disc into one open end of the rim expanded due to the heating, the disc is tightly fixed to the rim 7 by cooling the rim 7 without largely changing the runout accuracies of the rim and the disc as a single body. Thereafter, the rim 7 and the disc are tightly fixed together by welding or the like. Thus, automobile wheels with excellent runout accuracy can be manufactured.
