DEVICE FOR GENERATING FINE AND HIGH DENSITY MAGNETIC FIELD

PURPOSE:To generate a spatially fine and high density magnetic field by arranging superconductors forming fine holes on the positions of the tip parts of opposed pole pieces in a gap between the pole pieces. CONSTITUTION:The pole pieces 4 are coated with the superconductors 6 and the fine holes 7 formed on the superconductors 6 are positioned on the tip parts of the pole pieces 4. Since magnetic circuits of the pole pieces 4 are coated with the superconductors 6 having fine holes 7, the portion capable of passing magnetic flux 5 is restricted only to the fine hole parts 7 of the superconductors 6 and the half width of space distribution of magnetic flux density in the gap part 2 can be drastically reduced. Consequently, a high density magnetic field restricted only in an extremely fine space can be obtained.
