PURPOSE:To permit a subcutting edge of side reference so as to be accurately obtained by grinding of the center reference by measuring an inscribed circle of a throw away tip, after a main cutting edge is all ground, being based on a difference from the preset value, correcting a distance from the center of this tip to a cutting edge and grinding the subcutting edge. CONSTITUTION:Two sides (main cutting edge) W2, W3 of a workpiece W are ground by a grinding wheel 14. Next measuring one side W2 of the workpiece W by a measuring device 20 inputting its measured value to a control panel 30, this control panel 30 compares the measured value from the measuring device 20 with the preset value of an inscribed circle radius of the workpiece W. Substituting this compared difference for a preset correction expression and calculating a correction value, 1 distance from the center of the workpiece W to a subcutting edge W4 is corrected being based on this calculated correction value. The subcutting edge W4 of the workpiece W is ground in a short time further in high accuracy by the grinding wheel 14 being based on this corrected value. |
