<p>The pressure measuring device is located on a tubular body, namely on a flat (11) of a pipe or the ice containing pressurised fluid in its bore (15), so that a weakening of the wall occurs. Near the flat is located a metal membrane (12) as part of a capacitor, whose capacitance alters with deformation of the wall as pressure changes in the central passage (15) of the body. In this way, there is obtained a simple, inexpensive pressure measuring device, which can easily be attached anywhere. As shown the membrane or electrode (12) is a metal film on a ceramic body (13) secured by an insulating body (14). The electrode may, however, be a plate supported close to the flat (11) - Figs. 2, 3 not shown. The invention may be applied to an injector nozzle (Fig. 4 not shown) and two opposed flats formed on the nozzle for two transducer. <IMAGE></p> |
