PURPOSE:To obtain a copper alloy wire rod to which continuous wire drawing can be applied without wire cutting and without lowering the electricconductivity of the fine wire by adding specific amt. of Sb to high purity copper having specific purity. CONSTITUTION:The titled wire rod consists of the copper alloy obtd. by adding 0.005-0.05% Sb to the high pure copper having >=99.99wt.% purity and improving wire drawability without lowering the electricconductivity. Said copper alloy can stably be subjected to the continuous wire drawing without wire cutting to about <=30mum wire diameter, particularly to about <=25mum.
