PURPOSE:To obtain a smaller-sized room lens which is well corrected of not only a spherical aberration but curvature of field as well by moving the non- power part of a master lens in accordance with a focusing set position and zooming set position, thereby correcting the curvature of field. CONSTITUTION:1st and 2nd potentiometers 16, 30 which detect the set position of the focusing lens 2 and the set position of the variator 3 respectively as electric signals are provided and the correction optical system of the non-power constituting a part of the master lens 6 is moved and adjusted in an afocal part based on the combination of the signals from the potentiometers 16, 30. The image which is well corrected of the curvature of field over the entire variable power region is thereby formed. Since the lens system having no power is moved in the afocal system, no undesirable influences are exerted to the spherical aberration and axial chromatic aberration which are previously corrected by the focusing lens 2, the variator 3, a compensator 4, etc.
