PURPOSE:To attain accurate measurement by bringing a magnetic head into contact with a wound magnetic tape from the insides of both rotors through a gap part and setting up tension to a proper value by a tape tension adjusting means. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic tape winding faces 11a, 12a are formed on the gap part side peripheries of upper and lower rotors 11, 12. Both the end parts of the magnetic tape 17 wound around a magnetic tape winding part 16 are drawn out from a gap between guide shafts 19, 19 and wound around a cylindrical body 23 of a magnetic tape fixing roll 20 and a magnetic tape fixing cover 30 is fitted to the cylindrical body 23 so as to hold the tape 17 between the members 23, 30. Then, the roll 20 is rotated, the tape 17 is wound around the cylindrical body 23 and the tension of the tape 17 is set up to a appropriate state. Consequently, accurate measurement can be attained at the time of testing the magnetic head and the magnetic tape.
