PURPOSE:To obtain a copy whose color reproductivity is excellent and whose resolution is high by utilizing the intermediate film of a negative image formed by separating reflected light from an original to three colors, exposing with white light and forming an image. CONSTITUTION:The reflected light of the light irradiating the original 1 is separated to three colors at least through red, green and blue filters 8-10 and at least three pieces of image data are recorded in the intermediate film 5. The three monochromatic films are individually exposed with the white light 16 and an electrostatic image corresponding to the monochromatic film is formed on previously charged photosensitive recording paper 15. The image is formed thereon by superposing the pigment positive images of three primary colors in subtractive color method corresponding to the colors of the color filters 8-10. Then, the exposure can be increase and a photosensitive body such as TiO2 of high gradation, whose sensitivity is lower than that of the photosensitive body such as a-Si and OPC, can be utilized. Thus the image with high solution and high gradation can be obtained.
