PURPOSE:To enhance work efficiency by providing a relocating device for relocating a workpiece between the first and second carriers, which pass through the first and second cutting passages, and two opposed grinding wheels which continuously grind every one side of the workpiece during its movement in these grinding passages. CONSTITUTION:After a workpiece is supplied to a pocket hole 21 of the first carrier 18 in a loading position, the first carrier 18 is moved toward a relocating position passing through the first grinding passage 12 and a surface of the workpiece, during this movement, is ground by the first grinding wheel 1. A reverse side of the workpiece is guided along the first reference surface 10 of a reference guide 6. The workpiece, finishing its obverse to be ground, is relocated to the second carrier 19 from the first carrier 18 by a relocating device 37 in the relocating position. Thereafter, the second carrier 19 passes through the second grinding passage 13 moving to an unloading position, and during this movement, the workpiece, while its obverse is guided along the second reference surface 11, grinds the reverse of the workpiece by the second grinding wheel 2.
