PURPOSE:To enhance the strength and thermal stability without impairing a magnetic characteristic of a rare earth Co alloy powder by a method wherein the alloy powder of a prescribed amount is molded collectively by a hot working process by using a non-magnetic metal powder as a binder. CONSTITUTION:A rare earth Co alloy powder is molded collectively by a hot working process by using a non magnetic metal powder as a binder. A rare earth Co alloy component in a molded body is decided to be 50-90% in terms of its weight ratio. A rare earth for a rare earth Co alloy refers to a single element or a composite out of rare earth elements such as Nd, Pr, Dy, Sm, Ce and the like. By this setup, the strength and thermal stability can be improved without impairing a magnetic characteristic of the alloy powder.
