PURPOSE:To improve braking performance by fixing a member having the flame coating of metal and/or ceramics to the surface of a rim which controls with a brake shoe, and also covering its layer with a corrosion inhabitor. CONSTITUTION:A plate in iron or the like, on which the flame coating layer of metal and/or ceramics is formed, is fixed to the face contacting with the brake shoe, of a rim consisting of stainless or the like. Al, Ti, etc., or an alloy thereof is used as such a flaming metal, and oxide, nitride, carbide, borax, etc., of these metals are used as ceramics. Furthermore, the flame coating layer is formed into a matte texture and a corrosion inhibitor such as an organic rust preventive is applied to the top face thereof. This constitution can prevent the reduction in coefficient of friction even in the case of water being attached thereto in rainy weather and so on, thus improving the braking performance of the rim.
