<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to keep always high contact efficiencies between waste water and bacteria, by moving carrier upward and downward cyclically in a process to conduct an anaerobic treatment of organic waste water using an anaerobic biological reactor filled with carriers to hold thereon anaerobic bacteria. CONSTITUTION:During a process to conduct an anaerobic treatment of organic waste water using an anaerobic biological reactor 7 filled with carriers to hold anaerobic bacteria, a fixed bed formed by carriers filled under a carrier support frame 10 is moved upward and downward cyclically by means of a device 9 housed in the reactor through said frame 10. As a result, a deflection of liquid flow and clogging of the carrier bed due to emulsion or excessive bacteria in the waste are avoided, so that high contact efficiencies between waste water and bacteria are always maintained, leading to high treating efficiencies.</p> |
