<p>PURPOSE:To improve the close adhesiveness to a tube and to heat the tube without lowering the flexibility thereof, by mounting an operating part, the insert part connected to the operating part and a yarn like heat generator provided to the flexible tube forming the insert part and receiving a current to generate heat. CONSTITUTION:An endoscope 1 is constituted of a flexible insert part 2, a wide operating part 3, an eyepiece part 4 and a light guide cable 5. The curved part 10 of the insert part 2 is curved up and down or left and right by the revolving operation of a curving operating knob 10A. The flexible tube 11 of the curved part 10 is made of a material whose hardness changes plastically by temp. change and a yarn like heat generator 50 is embedded in the peripheral wall of the tube 11. The yarn like heat generator 50 is formed by coating an org. synthetic fiber with carbon particles in a multilayer and generates heat upon the reception of the supply of a current. Since the yarn like heat generator is excellent in the close adhesiveness to the tube 11 and has good bending durability and flexibility, the softening of the tube 11 is not lowered and said heat generator 50 shows rapid rising in the generation of heat after the supply of a current because of low heat conductivity.</p> |
