PURPOSE:To prevent fogging and poor transfer by providing core particles containing a large amount of colorant, and electrically insulating resin coating layers for coating these core particles, and regulating a 50% weight average particle diameter to <=8mum. CONSTITUTION:The toner has an encapsulated structure composed of the core particles 2 containing a large amount of the colorant, and the electrically insulating resin coating layers 3 for coating these core particles, and a 50% weight average particle diameter is regulated to <=8mum, thus permitting a sufficient hiding powder to be obtained even in the case of using the particles of <=8mum diameter by the presence of a large amount of the colorant, accordingly, electric resistivity of the surfaces to be controlled to >=10<14>OMEGA.cm by coating the core particles lowered in resistivity with the resin layer high in resistivity, consequently, a balance between color developing performance and electrostatic characteristics to be kept, and fogging and poor transfer to be prevented. |
