PURPOSE:To obtain desired filtering characteristics without cumbersome works, by making the large amplitude part of a received signal to remain intact, imparting high attenuation to a small amplitude part, and obtaining a received pulse. CONSTITUTION:A received signal 11 of a reflected wave from a receiving antenna is differentiated in a differentiating means 4. A differentiated signal 13, which is obtained in this way, and the received signal 11 are sent to an operating means 5. The square root of the sum of the squares is operated, and a weighting signal 14 is outputted. The received signal 11 is multiplied by the weighting signal 14 in a multiplying means 16. When the received signal 11 is multiplied by the weighting signal 14, the large amplitude part of the received signal becomes the amplitude approximately intactly. The small amplitude part receives striking attenuation, and the amplitude becomes minute. The result is outputted as the received pulse after filtering from the multiplying means 6. |
