PURPOSE:To obtain a monoclonal antibody capable of specifically recognizing 4-O-acetyl-N-glycolylneuraminyllactosylceramide considered to be a human cancer-related antigen and detecting a cancer in high sensitivity. CONSTITUTION:It is found a hybridoma to produce the aimed monoclonal antibody is extremely readily prepared by immunizing a mouse of autoimmune disease. A splenocyte collected from the immunized animal is fused with a mouse myeloma cell and cultivated in an ordinary selective medium to select the aimed hybridoma.
