PURPOSE:To perform uniform baking treatment free from baking unevenness inspite of the uneven shape of the objective surface of baking and to effectively reduce energy loss by providing a means for performing regulation and control of rational intensity for thermal radiation of a heater. CONSTITUTION:In an existence discrimination means 7A of a controlling device 7, it is discriminated by observation or forecasting whether a conveyed coated material exists or not in the part of thermal radiation of heaters 3A-3D. Further in a distance measuring means 7B, the distance between the part subjected to thermal radiation in the conveyed coated material which is positioned in the part of thermal radiation and the heaters is measured by observation or forecasting. Furthermore in an intensity regulation means 7C, when it is discriminated by the means 7A that the conveyed coated material exists, the intensity of thermal radiation of the heaters is automatically regulated so that it is made large as the distance measured by the means 7B is large. Furthermore when it is discriminated by the means 7A that the conveyed coated material does not exist, the intensity of thermal radiation of the heaters is automatically lowered to the preset standly intensity.
