The robotic device comprises at least one continuous non-segmented flexible mast joined to a base. At least three planar bulkheads are attached to the mast at spaced intervals thereby not in contact. At least three radially arranged cable groups pass through holes in the bulkhead each group having at least one cable end terminating along a radial in each of the at least three bulkheads so comprising at least nine cables. The cable groups have their remaining ends terminated in a lengthening and shortening control portion. A weighted portion is movable along the length of the mast, so changing the centre of gravity of the device. The three bulkheads and the central mast diminish in size from one end of the mast. |
