PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a rotor core without decreasing an output and to obtain a high output by reducing the overlap of the pawl of the rotor core with a stator core to a specific amount. CONSTITUTION:A rotor core 3 has a pawl 3b protruding axially and having a short length to overlap a stator core 6. The lap rate of the pawl 3b and the core 6 in this case is approx. 0.88 or less at the maximum. Thus, the weight of the core 3 can be reduced without reducing the output as a generator, and the strain amount of the core 3 at the time of rotating at a high speed can be reduced. Since a gap between the core 6 and the core 3 can be reduced, its output can be enhanced.
