PURPOSE:To prevent the solidification of slaked lime in piping even when a pump is stopped for a long time, by substituting the chemical liquid in the piping and dump with water when the pump is stopped. CONSTITUTION:A chemical liquid (e.g., a chemical liquid of slaked lime) is transferred to a chemical liquid injection point 3 from a chemical liquid dissolving tank 1 using a pump 4 and pipings 2, 5. Next, when the pump 4 is stopped, valves 2a, 2b are closed and valves 6a, 6b, 8a, 10a are opened and a pump 7 is operated to introduce industrial water into the pump 4 and the pipings 2 before and behind said pump 4 through pipings 6, 8, 10, 11 and the chemical liquid is replaced with industrial water. As a result, the solidification of slaked lime in the pump or piping at the time of the stoppage or change-over of the pump can be prevented.
