PURPOSE:To make it possible to apply the titled system also to an image having a broken segment by comparing the differential image pattern of an adjacent picture element including the segment of an edge with image information obtained before unit time to find out the most similar position and extracting the movement of the segment of the edge. CONSTITUTION:A movement extracting part 20 reads out a differential image from differential image memories 16, 17 through a bus 27, extracts the segment of an edge and searches the most coincident part with the segment of the edge to find out a moving variable. The obtained result is added to the integrated value of a moving variable read out of a moving variable memory 21 through the bus 27 up to the preceding time and the added value is stored in the memory 21. A moving object image extracting part 22 reads out the integrated value of the moving variable stored in the memory 21 through the bus 27 and integrates picture elements having similar movement as a moving project. Consequently, the system can be also applied to an image having a broken segment which can not be extracted from the image. |
