PURPOSE:To achieve a higher machinability and workability without lowering thermal and strength performances, by using a heat insulating body comprising a sintered material of austenitic stainless steel with a void of 37-43%. CONSTITUTION:A heat insulating body comprising a sintered material of austenitic stainless steel with a void of 37-43% is arranged to cover the surface of nuclear reactor constructions dividing parts for housing liquid materials for the nuclear reactor such as external heat insulating body 1g of a core support construction 5, internal heat insulating body 1a of a rector container lid 21, lower heat insulating body 1b of a bottom surface 22 of a pressure chamber 14, internal heat insulating chamber 1c of a floor 23 of a pump chamber of a primary circulation pump 7,heat insulating bodies 1d and 1e on an external surface of a steam generator chamber wall 24, external heat insulating bodies 1h and 1i of a lower core camber wall 25. This achieves a higher workability without raising any problem in thermal and mechanical nature.
