PURPOSE:To immediately send the collision of optical signals to all terminal equipments in physical layer level by stopping the relay of a conventional transmission signal in recognizing the collision of the optical signals and sending the collision notice signal having a higher frequency than the maximum frequency of a conventional transmission signal. CONSTITUTION:In receiving simultaneously signals from two or over of reception terminals 7a, 7b of an optical repeater 5 in the loopback mode, a collision detection section 1 detects the signal as the collision of the optical signals on the bus transmission line 4. Since both outputs of the collision detection section 1 and a collision notice detection section 3 are connected to be able to drive the collision notice section 2 in the optical repeater 5 of loopback mode, the collision notice section 2 stops the relay of a conventional transmission signal and sends the collision notice signal having a frequency higher than the maximum frequency of the normal transmission signal to the bus transmission line 4. The collision notice detection section 3 receives the collision notice signal from the other optical repeater. |
