PURPOSE:To use a united POS system and a separated POS system in common by allowing a parallel/serial conversion means to execute conversion between serial data corresponding to data to be processed by an I/O means and parallel data to be processed by a processing means and using serial data for data transfer to be processed by the I/O means. CONSTITUTION:Data inputted from an I/O means 131 are inputted to a parallel/ serial conversion means 121 as serial data, the serial data are converted into parallel data by the means 121, the parallel data are supplied to a processing means 111 and the means 111 processes the parallel data. The data processed by the means 111 are inputted to the means 121 as parallel data, the parallel data are converted into serial data, the serial data are supplied to an I/O means 131 and the means 131 outputs the serial data. Consequently, connection between the processing means 111 and the I/O means 131 can be simplified and the united POS system and the separated POS system can be used in common. |
