PURPOSE:To enhance light stability by incorporating a benzotriazole compound in a layer containing a specified hydrazone compound as a charge transfer material. CONSTITUTION:The charge transfer layer contains as the charge transfer material the hydrazone compounds represented by formula I (each of R1-R3 is optionally substituted alkyl, such aralkyl, such aryl, or such a heterocyclic group, each optionally substituted by alkyl group, halogen atom, alkoxy, aryloxy, amino group, or the like, and R2 may form a heterocyclic ring together with R3), together with the benzotriazole derivative, such as any kind of benzotriazole compound having any substituent or any structure being usable so long as it has a benzotriazole structure, or they are contained in a single layer together with a charge generating material in both cases by dispersing them into a proper resin and applying them, thus permitting light stability to be enhanced. |
