PURPOSE:To cool efficiently, by a method wherein an insulation substrate, into which the group of terminals is incorporated, is provided with a notch while cooling fins, provided on a heat radiating body, are extended to the part of the notch. CONSTITUTION:A generator 1 for vehicle is constituted of a roundle type rotor core, fitted forcibly and fixed to a core shaft 2, a coil bobbin 4 as well as a rotor coil 5 for the rotor core 3, a stator 6, around which a stator coil 6a is wound, a brush 7, accommodated in a brush holder 7a, a slip ring 8, a rectifier 9 and the like. The rectifier 9 is arranged in the passage of cooling air, generated by a cooling fan 3a, on the side plate 10 of the rotor core 3 together with other members such as a regulator 11 and the like. The insulation substrate 13 of terminal boards 19, 20 and a pair of heat radiating bodies 14, 15 are incorporated into the generator. In this case, some of the cooling fins 14a of the heat radiating body 14, which are projected toward the rotor core 3, can be extended since one part of the insulation substrate 13 is notched. According to the method, the cooling efficiency of the rectifier 9 may be improved remarkably. |
